Tutuwai hut in the popular Tauwharenikau valley got a much needed facelift by GWBN volunteers recently. Tutuwai is the main Tararua hut accessible from Wellington and the Hutt Valley and is also located on the tramping route from Kaitoke north of Upper Hutt to Holdsworth near Masterton.

This hut renovation to improve accomodation in the Tauwharenikau valley has been made possible by a generous funding grant from Trust House Foundation

The team of Martyn Wilman, Rosie McIntyre, Jenny Mc Carthy, Megan Sety, David Lyttle and Steve wilman
