In march this year, a team led by Steve Wilman took on the Dorset Ridge hut project. The tasks were to remove the existing flat iron cladding and replace with Color Steel. This included installing a lay of ply first. Aluminium windows replaced the orginal windows that were is a bad state. Insulation was installed under the hut by Jim Hepburn. The interior entrance painted. And the woodshed reclad in color steel.
Conditions were wet but the team kept at it, despite mud everywhere. The end result is is a much improved hut hut that will last another 60 years.
