Over the weekend a team from GWBN flew into Maungahuka to do some needed repairs and maintenance on the hut. While we were there we also took part in Love our Huts and gave everything a jolly good cleaning.
This is a much loved hut in a stunning location but endures its fair share of less than stunning weather. A solid effort was made by the team of three and the dog (Jim, Jill, Emma and Coda), including repairs to the water tap, main door, under hut door, toilet door and decking. Many surfaces inside and out were covered in mould including all the sleeping mats. Everything is now clean and sparkling including the toilet
